About me

Welcome! I am a PhD student in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, entering my fourth year in the 2026–2027 academic year.

My current research studies how the duality between formal and informal employment interacts with commuting costs and housing affordability in highly segregated urban labor markets—focusing on Bogotá, where these frictions shape residential sorting and educational segregation across the city.

My broader research interests lie in urban economics, labor markets, spatial inequality, and search & networks. I am especially interested in how geographic constraints and informal mechanisms of job search jointly affect welfare, mobility, and the allocation of labor.

I hold a BSc in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico (Peru) and an MA in Economics from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia).
